★★★★★

Working with Rachel was a dream; she was incredibly professional, courteous and clearly passionate about the project. I commissioned a place in Cornwall close to my heart. I am thrilled with the result, which now hangs proudly in our London home. The customer service was excellent from beginning to end. I would highly recommend Rachel for beautiful original art.

★★★★★

By her active listening skills, artistic talent and clear emotional understanding, Rachel has managed to perfectly capture a moment of blissful happiness in one painting. Whenever I look at it I feel instant calm, warmth and contentment. We have hung it above our bedroom fireplace so that this is the last thing I look at when I go to sleep and first thing I see when I wake.”

So Let’s Paint Yours…

How To Commission A Painting

1) Let’s Start With Your Vision

We begin with a friendly chat—over email or phone—about your dream painting commission. Together, we’ll discuss:

  • Size and orientation (horizontal, vertical, or square)

  • Reference photos or inspiration from your favourite places —or we can discuss travel to a location for me to draw direct inspiration

  • The colours you love—or wish to avoid

  • Examples of my previous paintings that inspire you and capture the style you’d like for your commissioned painting

If you don’t have everything figured out yet, that’s okay! I’m here to guide you through the process.

2) Let’s Get On The Same Page

Once we’ve finalised the vision, I’ll provide a simple commission agreement that outlines the project timeline and cost. A non-refundable deposit secures your spot, and then I’ll get started on bringing your custom commission artwork to life!

3) Bringing Your Painting Commission To Life

Throughout the project, I don’t wish to leave you in the dark in the process so on the whole a couple emails are usually enough to update you on it’s progress. Once the painting is complete, I’ll send you a final photograph of your commission artwork to make sure you're happy and then I’ll carefully prepare it for delivery. I also offer framing options to make hanging your new piece as easy as possible!

Your ART COMMISSION Questions Answered

  • The cost of a commissioned painting is similar to that of my original paintings. To get an idea of your investment, feel free to browse my Originals Paintings and explore my collection.

While you’re there, why not choose a favourite piece to inspire your own painting? In Step 1 of the process, I’ll ask you to share which of my works resonate with you most as a starting point for your unique commission.

Every project is tailored to your vision, and I’ll be happy to discuss specifics during our initial chat!

  • Once your project is booked into my commission queue, most pieces take around 6–8 weeks to complete, depending on size and complexity. Please note that this timeline begins once your turn in the queue arrives, as I typically work on commissions in the order they are booked.

If you have a specific deadline in mind, it’s best to book early to secure your spot and allow ample time for the process.

  • Just fill out the inquiry form below, and I’ll be in touch to discuss your ideas as soon as possible!

  • I, of course, want you to be happy with your artwork, so I include 2 rounds of minor alterations within the proposed quote. This way works to both our advantages in that your commission will be finished in a timely manner and within your budget.

  • If, for any reason, you are not satisfied with your painting commission (this has never happened yet!), you may use your deposit as credit in my online store. This means I am able to make the finished painting available for purchase elsewhere.
